2) 5x + 7y = 81

add_____________

      15x = 75

x = 75/15 = 5

using eq(2):

5(5) + 7y = 81

y = 8

check using eq(1):

10(5) - 7(8) = -6

50 - 56 = -6

-6 = -6

ordered pair is (5,8)
