1000 cm^3 is the same as 1000 mL.  And 1000 milliLiter is 1 Liter.

To go from Liters to mL you multiply by 1000, so to go from mL to Liters you would divide by 1000.

 

1525 mL + 1 L x 1000 = 1525 + 1000 = 2525 mL
