 (a^4 * b^5)(ab)^(-2)

expand the negative power term.

 (a^4 * b^5)(ab)^(-2) =  (a^4 * b^5)*a^(-2)*b^(-2)

add the indices,

a^(4-2) * b^(5-2)

simplify,

a^2 * b^3

Answer: a^2b^3
