3/4 + 5/6 =

First find the common denometer and convert fractions.

The lowest number 4 and 6 will divide into is 12.

4 goes into 12  3 times. 3 X 3 = 9.

6 goes into 12  2 times. 2 X 5 = 10

3/4 + 5/6 = 9/12 + 10/12 = 19/12 = 1 7/12
