a  b/c is a mixed fraction.

To convert into fraction,  we multiply  a with c and the result added to b becomes the numerator.

The denominator remains as it is ie c here. Hope this helps you.

1  1/3 x 1  1/2

=4/3   x 3/2

= 12/6

=2
