Woman steals $100 from cash register, then buys $70 worth of goods and recieves $30 back in change, how much is the store owner out?

Woman steals a $100 bill from a cash register without the knowledge of the owner.  She then friends 5 minutes later and purchases $70 in goods with the stolen $100. The owner gives her $30 change.  

How much is the owner out?

i only guess:  if 100 out of store it is 100. If considered as the profit of this transaction less tax, remained back to store then that it is so. If i had this store i would consider 100 out of the store.
