f(x) = 3x - 2 and g(x)  = x^2 + 1

fog(x) = 3(x^2 + 1)  - 2 = 3x^2 + 3 - 2 = 3x^2 + 1

gof(x) = ( 3x -2)^2 + 1 = 9x^2 -12x +4 + 1 = 9x^2 - 12x +5

(A - b )^2 = A^2 - 2AB + b^2
