the common multiples are  the same number in 2 groups of  multiplication, like as an example.

the common multiples of 3 and 6, you would have to write them first.

3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, and ect.

6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 49, 55, 61, and ect.

and the common multiples would be 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, and ect.
