I tried to clear the denominator by multi everything by n, my answer is n = 5/11 however the answer should be n = 4.  What am I doing wrong?

Multiply both sides by n

n(3+8/n)=5(n), which gives you

3n+8=5n, subtract the 3n on both sides

8=2n, divide by two so that

n=4
