Problem: factorization of 5t squared+17t-12
how to i factor 5t+17t-12

5t^2 + 17t - 12
Factoring 5t^2 will give 5t and t.
You need factors of 12 that will give 17 when one of them is multiplied by 5.
Try 3 and 4.   5 * 4 = 20. If we subtract 3 we get 17. Also, one of them
must be negative in order to get -12.

(5t - 3)(t + 4)
