Problem: how to find the difference in 8 minus 12
I will like for you to work the problem out. And that way i can know how you did it and how you got the answer. Thank You!!!

8 - 12 = -4

It would help to use a number line, with positive numbers to the right of zero,
and negative numbers to the left of zero. Starting at zero, mark off each nunber,
1 to 8, on the right, then -1 to -8 on the left. Start at +8 and count 12 steps
to the left, subtracting 1 with each step. You will end at -4.
