Problem: 5(z-1))=4(z-4)please solve

5(z - 1) = 4(z - 4)
5(z - 1) = 4(z - 4)
5z - 5 = 4z - 16
5z - 5 - 4z = 4z - 16 - 4z
z - 5 = -16
z - 5 + 5 = -16 + 5
z = -11

Check.

5(z - 1) = 4(z - 4)
5(-11 - 1) = 4(-11 - 4)
5(-12) = 4(-15)
-60 = -60

Answer: z = -11
