Complete the square with x^2+5/2x=5
I have to complete the square
x²+5/2x=5

x^2 + 5/2x = 5
Add the square of 1/2 the x co-efficient:
((5/2)(1/2))^2 ----  (5/4)^2 ---- 1.5625

x^2 + 5/2x + (5/4)^2 = 5 + 1.5625

Factor the left side.

(x + 5/4)^2 = 6.5625

Take the square root of both sides.

x + 5/4 = 2.56173   and   x + 5/4 = -2.56173
x = 2.56173 - 1.25  and   x = -2.56173 - 1.25
x = 1.31173            and   x = -3.81173
