that is extremly ugly problem you have to use quadratic formula,  i believe the answer will involve imaginary numbers... 

-5 + squareroot (-7)  

          2

 

the answer is: x= -2.5 + 1.3228756555322954(i)

 or    x = -2.5 - 1.3228756555322954(i)
