(3-w)/(5-w)=(2)/(w-5)

cross-multiply to remove the denominators

(w-5)(3-w) = (5-w)(2)

3w -w^2 -15 +5w = 10 -2w

w^2 -10w +25 = 0

(w-5)(w-5)= 0

w = 5

check

(3-w)/(5-w)=(2)/(w-5)

(3-5)/(5-5)=(2)/(5-5)

-2/0 = 2/0
