To solve 6 x 6 = 4N

The question is asking you to solve the equation for the value of the unknown, N, that makes it true.

i.e. we have to find the value of N.

multiply out the lhs, giving

36 = 4N

now divide both sides by 4,

9 = N

So, the answer is: N = 9
