There are two ways i am interpreting this question:

#1: 6 times 2 minus five = 6*2-5

Multiplication is first: 6*2 =12

Then the subtraction: 12 - 5 = 7

#2: 6 point 2 minus 5 = 6.2 - 5

convert the 5 to decimal where 5 = 5.0

Then subtract: 6.2 - 5.0 = 1.2

you can check by adding 5.0 to both sides of the equation
6.2 - 5.0 + 5.0 = 1.2 + 5.0

6.2 = 6,2
