6(2x+1)-5x=3x+2  first you distribute the 6 and you get

12x+6-5x=3x+2 then you subtract 5x from 12x which gives you

7x+6=3x+2 then subtract 3x from both sides of the equal sign

4x+6=2 now you take 6 away from both sides of the equal sign and you get

4x = -4 now you divide each sdie by 4x which gives you the answer of

x = -1
