The like terms are teh terms that have the same level variable for example all terms with x, then all terms with x^2, then all terms with x^3 etc.

4xcubed,3x,9xcubed,-xsquared,10xsquared,5x

3x,5x

-x^2, 10x^2

4x^3,9x^3
