2x+2y=-4 4x-2y=8

Make one of the equation into a slope intercept form (y = mx + b)

2x + 2y = -4

2y = -2x - 4

y = -1x - 4 (Substitute this slope intercept form into the other equation where y is)

4x - 2(-1x - 4) = 8

4x + 2x + 8 = 8

6x + 8 = 8

6x = 0

x = 0 (Place this answer in the 2x + 2y = 10, where is).

2(0) + 2y = 10

2y = 10

y = 5

Your solution set (meaning and y) is (0,5)
