7/12 + 2/3=

turn the 2/3 into x/12 - to get from 3 to 12 multiply by 4, so multiply 2 by 4 to get 8/12then 8/12 + 7/12 = 15/12 which is 1 + 3/12 and the 3/12 can be simplified to 1/4

Ans is 1 and 1/4 (or 15/12 in an improper fraction)
