assuming it is 2x^2 + 3x - 6

you can use factor by grouping.  First multiply 2 and 6 = 12

now find the factors of 12 that add to be 3

factors of 12 are 1,12              2,6             3,4

none of these will give you 3x in the middle so it is not factorable.
