-x + y = -4 --- (1)
x + y = 0 --- (2)

From (2), we have:

y = -x --- (3)

Substituting (3) into (1), we will get:

-x + (-x) = -4
-2x = -4
x = -4 / -2
x = 2

Substituting x = 2 into (3), we will get:

y = -2

Hence, x = 2 and y = -2
