what is the answer to 4 1/3-2 1/2

4 1/3 - 2 1/2

Change to common denominator.

4 2/6 - 2 3/6

"Borrow" 1 from the 4, change to 6ths: 3 2/6 + 6/6 = 3 8/6

3 8/6 - 2 3/6
1 5/6
