Wrong answers by the teacher can be useful depending on how the teacher deals with them. The way I explained it to my class was that I would make mistakes from time to time (especially with really long, messy equations) and I expected the students to (politely) point out my mistake. It kept me on my toes, it helped keep them engaged, and it helped build rapport with the students.
