not sure if the ^ is supposed to be there, but if it is -6(2) + 9(2) +11

then -12 + 18 + 11

= 6 + 11 = 17

if it is supposed to be (-6)^2 + 9(2) + 11 then it is 36 + 18 + 11 = 54 + 11 = 65
