You have to solve in the right order. Look up "math order of operations" for more details on that. But for this specific question, you need to multiply the 3 x -9 first (which =-29) then you have to multiply the -2 x 7 (which = -14). Then you have to add the -29 to the -14, so the answer is -43. Hope that helps.

3×(-9)+(-2)×(7) 3×(-9) = -27 (-2)×(7) = -14 -27 + (-14) = -41 So the answer is -41
