What do you want done?  Continue the pattern?

The pattern on the bottom of the fractions:

1, 3, 9, 27, 81, 243, . . . (just keeps multiplying by 3 each time)

The next bottom would be 243 * 3 = 729

The next bottom after that would be 729 * 3 = 2187

The pattern on the top of the fractions:

-4, -2, 4, 22, 76, 238

How much is added between each pair of numbers?

2, 6, 18, 54, 162, . . . (just keeps multiplying by 3 each time.

The next step would be 162 * 3 = 486, so we would do 238 + 486 = 724

The next step after that would be 486 * 3 = 1458, so we would do 724 + 1458 = 2182

So our next two steps in the overall pattern would be 724/729 and 2182/2187

Answer:  -4/1, -2/3, 4/9, 22/27, 76/81, 238/243, 724/729, 2182/2187
