you can set this up as an equation like this

(x*.60)+x=144

solve for x

.6x+x=144

1.6x=144

x=90

I took 60% and added it to 100%.
GIving me 1.6, I then divided 1 by 1.6 and got .625.
Multiplying 144 by .625 I got 90.
Multiplying 90 by .6 and adding 90 gave me 144.

So the answer is 90
