The answer appears to be x=2 according to the simplified versiion, after we cancel (x-2)/(x-20) but according to the non simplified equation 2 isn't in the domain.

yu get [(1/2)*(x-2) / (x-1)]=0

become (1/2)(x-2)=0

or x-2=0

or x=2
by
But x=2 is not in the domain of ((x-2)(x-2))/(2(x-1)(x-2)) so how can it be a solution?
