2, 12, 36, ?, 150

2*1, 3*4, 4*9, 5*16, 6*25

2*1^2, 3*2^2, 4*3^2, 5*4^2, 6*5^2

(n+1)*n^2

The missing number is 80.

The next number after 150 is (n+1)*n^2 where n=6

(6+1)*6^2 = 7*36 = 252

Given 2 12 36 ? 150

The series goes like this 2 = 1^2 + 1^3(1 square + 1 cube)
12 = 2^2 + 2^3
36 = 3^2 + 3^3

So missing number is
4^2+4^3= 80

Series is
2 12 36 80 150
