Kant be ...-5*abs(x+1)=10 impli abs(x+1)=-2

but absolute gotta be >=0

me assume abs(x+1)=+2

1... (x+1)=2 or x=1

2... (x+1)=-2, so x=-3

Given -5|x + 1| = 10
-5x-5=10, -5x+5=10
-5x=15, -5x=5
x=-3, x=-1
