2x-y=-16

y=2x+16

y-intersept=16

x-intersept...set y=0, so 2x+16=0...2x=-16, x=-8

Given 2x-y=-16

Subtract 2x on both side
2x-y-2x=-16-2x
-y=-16-2x

Take - common on both side
y=16+2x
x-intercept
y=0
0=16+2x
2x=-16
x=-8
x-intercept=(-8,0)
