My math lab wants me to convert 5 hours and 40 minutes into a fraction. however non of the exaples show  how to do that.. they just show what the example would be.

5 ours+40 minuts=340 minuts

1 dae=1440 minuts

340/1440=0.236111111111

or 17/72

5 hour and 45 minutes = (5*60)/60 minutes + 45/60 minutes = 5+3/4= 23/4
