cement is mixed with sand in the ratio 1:3 to make a building mixture

(1) if a bag of cement weighs 50kg, how much kg of sand should be added?

(2) how many bags of cement should be mixed with 2250kg of sand?

(3) 30 bags of cement are mixed with 4500kg of sand,show the means of calculations that the ratio is correct

Ratio is 1:3 so multiply by 3. 50 * 3 = 150 kg

 (2) how many bags of cement should be mixed with 2250kg of sand?

divide by 3. 2250/3 = 750 kg

 (3) 30 bags of cement are mixed with 4500kg of sand,show the means of calculations that the ratio is correct

divide 4500 by 3 4500/3 = 1500 kg of cement

if bi wate, yu put in 3 times sand for eech sement

2250 kg sand/3=750 kg sement

1 bag sement=50 kg...750/50=15 bags sement...NOT 30
