ln (x+3)(x-3) = ln (8x)

ln (x^2 - 9) = ln 8x

e^(ln (x^2 - 9)) = e^ ln8x

x^2 - 9 = 8x

x^2 - 8x - 9 = 0

(x - 9)(x + 1) = 0

x = 9 or -1

P.S. If this is 12th grade homework then how come a sixth grader is doing it?
