x +( x+0.50) +( x + 1) + (x + 1.5) + (x+2) + (x + 2.5) + (x + 3) + x +3.5) = 70

8x + 14 = 70

8x = 70 - 14

8x = 56

x = 56/8

x = 7

The firs day they made $ 7
