look at the values:  the left is 3 y' and 2 o's, the right is 5 y's.

you add 2 y's to the left now it is 5 y's and 2 o's on  the left and 5 y's on the right.

you add to o'2 to the right now you have 5 y's and 2 o's on the left and 5 y's and 2 o's on the right
