1 Answer

2/3 * 2  7/8

Make the right side into an improper fraction

2/3 * 23/8

With mulitplying, we can just multiply the tops together and the bottoms together like this

(2 * 23) / (3 * 8)

Notice we can factor out a 2 like this

(1 * 23) / (3 * 4)

1 and 23 are prime, so we can't reduce anymore.

23 / 12

1  11/12

The answer is 1  11/12 miles.
