Σ1/((1+R)^t) =?     if R>0 and t=0,1,....

R  is constant and  positive

we are looking at a fractional series.  if we substitute in numbers you will see that it looks like this.

{0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,...}

1/1 + 1/2 + 1/3 + 1/4 + 1/5+ ...

so we are looking at a number that approcoaches 2 but does not get to it.
