The way the problem is stated, the First Place guess and the Second Place guess
must bracket the actual number. The difference between the two is 15. Split that
into 7 and 8. Identify the number that is 7 from the first place guess, and 8
from the second place guess.

135 + 7 = 142
150 - 8 = 142

Using that as the assumed number of marbles, calculate the differences from that
number to the Third Place and Fourth Place guesses.

152 - 142 = 10    3rd
142 - 141 = 11    4th
