2 1/2? that is not the correct answer, first make them into improper fractions by multiplying the whole number by the deminator, then adding the numerator.

4 x 4 = 16 + 3 = 19/4

6 x 2= 12 +1 = 13/2

19/4 - 13/2 = -1.75 or - 1 3/4 is the correct answer
