Question: The area is 18 & 1 third and the height is 3 & 1 third whats the length of the base

A = 18 1/3

H = 3 1/3

L = ?

Area is length times height, i.e.

A = L * H, so

18 1/3 = L * (3 1/3)

Multilpy both sides by 3. This gives

55=L*(10)

Now divide both sides by 10. This gives

5.5 = L

Answer: Length of base is L = 5.5
