Question: Factorize : 1-2xy-(x^2+y^2).

1 - 2xy - (x^2 + y^2)

= 1 - (x^2 + 2xy + y^2)

= 1 - (x + y)^2

= {1 - (x+y)}{1 + (x+y)}   - difference of two squares
