Find the ordered triple of these equations.

x + y + z = 8
x - y = 2
z = 4

plug z into the first equation.  I am going to number them for simplicity.

1). x + y + z = 8

2). x - y = 2

3). z = 4

1a). x + y + 4 = 8

1a). x + y = 4

2).   x - y = 2  Add these two equations.

1a) - 2) => 2x = 6

x = 3

plug into 2). 3 - y = 4

-y = 1

y = -1

therefore: x = 3, y = -1 and z = 4

the ordered triple would be (3, -1, 4)
