Perimeter of a Triangle

When the length of a rectangle is x inches and the width is y inches, the perimeter is 28 inches. If the length is doubled and the width is tripled, the perimeter becomes 66 inches. Find the length and width of the original rectangle.

rektangel DONT BE a triangel...rektangel got 4 sides

rim leng=2*(leng+wide), so half-rim=leng+wide=28/2=14

Then yu make box bigger: nu leng=2*old leng, nu wide=3* old wide, nu half-rim=66/2=33

leng+wide=14 or wide=14-leng....

2*leng+3*wide=33 become 2*leng+3*(14-leng)=33

(2-3)*leng+42=33

-leng=33-42=-9

leng=9

wide=14-leng=5
