Beth Rechsteiner purchased a new washer and dryer for a total price of $1650. The dryer cost $150 less than the washer. Determine the price of the washer and the price of the dryer.

x+y=1,650

x=y-150

(y-150)+y=1650

2y =1650+150

2y=1800, so y=900

x=900-150=750
