5a+2=7 (take two from both sides) 5a=5 (divide both sides by 5) A=1

5a + 2 = 7

      -2   -2     ( subtract 2 on both sides an you the 2 will cancel out. 7 minus 2 equals 5)

5a  =  5     ( bring the 5a down an divide 5 on both sides)

= 1      (   5a cancels out an 5 divided by 5 equals 1)

subtratc 2 on both sides and theh 5a=5 so divid by 5 on both sides so a=1
