Can you solve step by step what X is?
A) 3X-7=3X+1
B) -2X-5=-4X+2
C )2+3X=X+2+2X
D) -(X-2)=X+2

A) Impossible! You have the same number, 3X, on both sides
of the equation. However, on the left side you are subtracting 7,
and on the right side you adding 1. There is no way this can ever
be true. Try it. Let's say that 3X = 9.
You are saying 9 - 7 = 9 + 1
or 2 = 10
NO.

B) -2X - 5 = -4X + 2
-2X + 4X = 2 + 5
2X = 7
X = 3.5

C) This isn't quite as bad as A, but it can't be resolved
into a single value for X.
2 + 3X = X + 2 + 2X
2 + 3X = 3X + 2
3X = 3X
X = X
Whatever value you choose for X will always equal X.

D) This one is a bit tricky, but it has a solution.
-(X - 2) = X + 2
-X + 2 = X + 2
-X + 2 - X = X + 2 - X
-2X + 2 = 2
-2X + 2 - 2 = 2 - 2
-2X = 0
-2X / -2 = 0 / -2
X = 0
