what is a mixed number and how do you convert a decimal to a mixed number!!!!!!!!!!

A mixed number consists of a whole number (not zero) and a fraction.
Examples are 2 1/2,  15 6/7,  123 11/15.

To convert a decimal to a mixed number begin with the whole number and
convert the remaining decimal portion to the equivalent fraction. You will
need to determine what the appropriate denominator is -- 2, 6, 7, whatever --
and multiply that number by the decimal.

For example, if your decimal number were 2.85714, the mixed number would be
2 plus 0.85714 * 7 sevenths, or 2 6/7.
